Face Your Fears at Fright Nights

Halloween is just around the corner and with so many themed attractions and events to take in throughout the city, it can be hard to decide what one to go to.  Well, we’ll make it easy for you, choose Fright Nights at Playland if you’re wanting a truly terrifying experience. You may think that we’re biased, so don’t take our word, let’s see what some of the city’s top bloggers have to say.

Hello Vancity

‘Inside the Haunted Mansion, my favourite house, an impressively agile zombie girl, nearly made me swallow my own heart when she scuttled out like a crab from a behind rocking chair, and popped out to scare us- it both was terrifying and hilarious! “Why are you laaaaughing?” she screeched, chasing us into the next bedroom.’ See More

‘To get an idea of which Haunted House is the scariest, we waited outside the exit of each house and asked a random 10 people exiting each Haunted House to rate their experience on a scare scale of 1-10. 1 being it made you yawn, and 10 being they nearly pee’d themselves at one point. We averaged the ratings for a final score…’ See More

‘This was my first time taking a spin on the ATMOSFEAR — a breathtaking experience that offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the entire city, or on the flip side, a height defying, dizzy blur that leaves you begging for solid ground! Note to self: do not eat a greasy burger before being elevated 218ft up in the sky while spinning 360° at 70km/hr.’ See More

‘The staff costumes and make-up are some of the most amazing I have seen in person to date. They are super scary and incredibly awe-inspiring, so you want to get close but you are still too scared to get really close. They really are incredible, even taking on their characters to really bring them to life. For example, there was one cast member who is dressed up as a demonic little girl. She will wail for people to play with her and it is spine tingling!’ See More

  1. Me and 5 of my friends went to PNE on Thu 24 Oct. That was one of the worst evenings of my life. Sure, the ambient was amazing as always, but the queues (!!!) were horrible. The fastest line took 40 minutes for us. And we spent 1 hour and 20 minutes in another one just to get inside the haunted house!!! Can you imagine that? Lines were so long, that only glance on them led me and my friends to despair. They promised 6 haunted houses and 13 rides and the price for the ticket was fair, but we made it only to 3 houses in 4.5 hours! I don’t know if I should sue PNE for robbery or just leave it like that and never come back. PNE administration, WHY do you oversell the tickets? Shouldn’t it be a limit for number of people?
