Follow the Flower Crowns

Chances are if you were in East Vancouver last night and saw a pack of 20-something girls wearing flower crowns, they were going to the Lana Del Rey concert.

With a sold out crowd of roughly 7,000 fans, Lana Del Rey rocked the PNE Amphitheatre last night performing hits like “Young and Beautiful”, “Born to Die”, and “Blue Jeans.” In typical Vancouver fashion, the crowd was unfazed by the rain, and stuck it out through the entire 15-song set. Fans were lined up as early as midnight on Sunday morning to guarantee the best seats in the house. Although Lana may sing mostly ballads, she was able to enthrall the crowd with her distinct voice, and even donned a Canadian flag for a portion of the performance, much to the crowd’s delight. Part-old world soul, part-modern bravado: If there’s one thing we know after last night’s concert, it’s that Lana Del Rey’s unique style is a tour de force on stage.
