Partying on Ice

Did you know that when you come to the Pacific Coliseum for an EDM event or a concert that you’re actually standing on a sub-floor that is place on top of ice? That ice is what the Vancouver Giants play on during hockey season. Most people think that the ice is removed and put back in between events, but that would actually take a lot more work!

Check out this cool time lapse to see how the job’s done.

EAT. SLEEP. RAVE. REPEAT. – Armin van Buuren delights fans with his show at the Pacific Coliseum

Intense is an apt way to describe Armin van Buuren’s “Armin Only: Intense” show Saturday night at the Pacific Coliseum.  The Dutch DJ played a 5-hour set to a sold out crowd with an amazing spectacle of dancers, acrobats, trampoline performers, confetti cannons, pyrotechnics and an ever-changing video wall.IMG_20140503_213650
